We had such an adventure filming the wedding videography at Ashley & James’s wedding at Tregenna Castle. We headed down the day prior to capture some lovely establishing shots of St Ive’s Bay/Harbour and the surrounding area. Ashley & James had recently made the move down from Solihull to Cornwall to live, with this in mind we really wanted to show the atmosphere of Cornwall. We used our aerial drone to capture some beautiful shots of the bay area and the hustle/bustle. Tregenna Castle sits on a hill overlooking the bay of St ives, Cornwall. From the front of the castle you have some really breathtaking views of the bay and Cornwall.
Morning preparations began with Ashley in the lodge with his bridesmaids and James in the castle with his groomsmen. James opted to play a round of golf with his groomsmen in the morning, which was a really cool touch. The lodge was lovely for preparations with Ashley, with lots of lovely natural light spilling into the rooms. When everyone was ready we headed up to the castle for their wedding ceremony. After the wedding ceremony we had such a great time with them capturing their wedding portraits. We started in the botanic gardens found behind the castle. This gave us so many creative wedding portrait opportunities. If that wasn’t enough, just a 5 minute walk and we were on the St Ive’s beach front. This provided yet more amazing portraits on the beach with Ashley & James. Their bridesmaid and groomsmen also joined us which was such great fun.
With all the portraits wrapped up we headed back up the hill to Tregenna Castle where we spent the rest of the evening. Ashley & James ended the evening with an amazing fireworks display. A lovely touch to end an amazing day with Family and friends.
